Caribou tufting is a traditional Athabascan art form practiced across Alaska and Canada’s Northwest Territories, originally using moose or caribou hair to create intricate, raised designs. This workshop offers participants the opportunity to learn the history, cultural significance, and step-by-step techniques of this beautiful Indigenous craft.

Workshop Details:

Instructor: Caleigha Gotthardt, Indigenous artist and cultural educator
Duration: [1.5 - 3 hours, customizable]
Group Size: [Ideal for 10-25 participants, larger groups upon request]
Location: Available for on-site or event-based workshops
Materials: All supplies provided (caribou hair, fabric or hide depending on age range of participants, thread, and tools)
